Japan Also Capped

The Bank of Japan kept interest rates unchanged and predicted growth in the world’s second- largest economy will slow next year as fiscal stimulus evaporates worldwide and overseas demand loses steam.

Prime Minister Naoto Kan, whose government lost its upper- house majority this week, may put pressure on the central bank as he seeks support from smaller parties wanting to end deflation.
